Balochistan Government Orders Immediate Sealing of Chilton Ghee Mills After 33 Years of Illegal Occupation; Rs230 Million Outstanding

Quetta: The Balochistan government, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has made a landmark decision to immediately seal and reclaim the *Chilton Ghee Mills* in Quetta, which had been under illegal occupation for the past 33 years.
During a high-level meeting, the Secretary of Industries briefed the Chief Minister that the lease agreement with the private company operating the mill was terminated back in 1992 due to contract violations. However, the company continued to occupy the government-owned property unlawfully for over three decades.
The briefing further revealed that all petitions filed by the occupiers in the Supreme Court and the High Court had been dismissed. The private company also owes more than Rs230 million to the Government of Balochistan.
Bugti reaffirmed his administration’s firm stance that government property must not be encroached upon under any circumstances. The decision marks a significant step in the Balochistan government’s ongoing campaign to reclaim state assets from illegal possession.
