Sindh CM Orders Acceleration of Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge Construction

Karachi:Chief Minister **Murad Ali Shah** has directed authorities to **speed up work on the Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge**, emphasizing timely completion of the strategic project.

A review meeting chaired by the CM was attended by **Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon, Special Assistant Syed Qasim Naveed, Chief Secretary Syed Asif Haider Shah**, and other senior officials. During the meeting, officials presented progress updates, noting that **379 out of 723 piles have been installed** for the 12.15-kilometer bridge. The remaining piles are expected to be completed by **December**, after which the girder installation will commence.

The CM highlighted that **five progress meetings have already been held in the past month** and stressed that the **period from November to June** is crucial due to lower river water levels. He expects substantial completion by **December 2026**.

Security arrangements have been finalized with **police and Rangers deployed on-site**, and the CM said the primary focus now is **accelerating construction work**. He also announced plans to **personally inspect the site next month** to review progress.

The Ghotki-Kandhkot Bridge is a key infrastructure project expected to **enhance economic connectivity** between **Sindh, Punjab, and Balochistan**.
