Over 22 Labourers Suffer Gastro Attack in Sibi; All Saved by Timely Medical Response

*Islamabad (Qudrat Daily)* — More than **22 labourers**, including **men, women, and children** from **Umerkot, Sindh**, were affected by **gastroenteritis** after consuming **contaminated water** while picking cotton in the fields near **WAPDA, Sibi**.
According to reports, several workers lost consciousness due to the illness. Upon receiving the information, the **Saiban Welfare Trust ambulance** immediately reached the site and shifted all affected individuals to the **Divisional Teaching Headquarters Hospital Sibi**.
**Medical Superintendent Dr. Umair Hussain** declared an emergency and promptly mobilized doctors and paramedical staff. The medical team administered **ORS, IV drips, and emergency treatment**, successfully saving the lives of all the affected workers.
Dr. Umair Hussain urged the public to **avoid consuming unclean water** and to **boil water before drinking** to prevent the spread of **waterborne diseases** such as gastroenteritis.
