Key Development in Kohistan Corruption Scandal: Main Accused Arrested with Wife After Hospital Discharge
ABBOTTABAD: In a major development in the **Kohistan corruption scandal**, the **National Accountability Bureau (NAB)** has arrested the **prime suspect, Qaiser Iqbal**, immediately after he was **discharged from Abbottabad Medical Complex**, where he had been undergoing treatment for an extended period.
According to NAB sources, **Iqbal’s wife has also been taken into custody**. Investigators allege that the accused **transferred billions of rupees** into accounts belonging to **his wife and a contractor named Mumtaz**, and also **acquired properties worth millions** in the names of **his wife and nephew**.
Sources added that both **Qaiser Iqbal and his wife** will be **produced before an accountability court** for **physical remand** as NAB continues its probe into the high-profile corruption case.
