Big Relief for Job Seekers: KP Cabinet Approves Recruitment of 3,000 Teachers

Peshawar: In a major development for young job seekers, the provincial cabinet has approved new recruitments to fill vacancies in public educational institutions.
Due to a shortage of teachers in government schools and colleges, the quality of education was being affected. Taking notice of the situation, the provincial government decided to hire new teachers, and the cabinet gave formal approval in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur.
Government spokesperson Barrister Saif, while briefing the media after the meeting, said the cabinet had approved the temporary recruitment of **3,000 teachers** for government colleges. He further stated that **associate degree holders** would also be eligible to apply.
The recruitment drive is expected to cost the government **Rs. 3 billion annually**.
Additionally, the cabinet approved a pilot project to outsource certain schools and colleges with very low enrollment. However, officials clarified that outsourcing would not affect the jobs of existing teachers, and students will continue to receive **free education** as before.
