Rain Likely in Several Sindh Cities Today, Says Met Office

Karachi:The **Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD)** has forecast rain in various parts of **Sindh** today, including **Karachi, Hyderabad, Tharparkar, Umerkot, and Sanghar**.
According to the PMD, a **low-pressure system from India’s Gujarat** is moving into the **Arabian Sea**, which may trigger more rainfall in the region.
On Sunday, heavy showers accompanied by thunder and lightning lashed several areas of Karachi, providing relief from the intense heat. The **highest rainfall recorded was 33 millimeters** near the airport.
However, the downpour left several major roads, including **I.I. Chundrigar Road, Shahrah-e-Faisal, and M.A. Jinnah Road**, submerged in water, severely disrupting traffic flow. Thousands of commuters were stranded, while ambulances also faced difficulties in navigating through the gridlock, causing hardships for patients.
