Prince Turki al-Faisal Blames U.S. for Regional Crisis, Urges Gulf States to Review Security Policies

Riyadh: Former Saudi intelligence chief and ambassador, Prince Turki al-Faisal, has called on Gulf states to reassess their security policies in light of recent regional tensions.

Speaking at the *Dean of Ambassadors Gala Dinner* in Riyadh, Prince Turki said that after Israel’s attack in Qatar, the security of Gulf states is under threat and requires urgent policy reconsideration.

He condemned the Israeli strike on Hamas leaders in Doha as an act of “aggression and treachery,” adding that resistance in Palestine would cease if there were no occupation of Palestinian territories.

Prince Turki further described Israel as a “rejected state” that disregards international laws and norms. He criticized the United States for siding with Israel, saying Washington has abandoned its role as a neutral mediator and has become a staunch ally of Tel Aviv.

It is worth noting that Israel targeted Hamas leaders in Qatar’s capital Doha on September 9. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has since issued an apology to Qatar over the incident.
