DG ISPR Visits Punjab University, Engages with Students on National Security and Propaganda

Lahore: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, visited Punjab University, Lahore, where he was warmly received by students, faculty, and administration. During the visit, he held an interactive session with students, answering their questions and addressing concerns.

According to state media, the atmosphere at the university was filled with enthusiasm upon his arrival. Students reaffirmed their commitment to stand alongside the Pakistan Army in the defense of the motherland and lauded the military’s achievements against India.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also met Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Muhammad and other faculty members. The meeting covered topics such as the role of educational institutions, national unity, and defense of the homeland.

Participants noted that the session effectively dispelled misconceptions created by negative propaganda campaigns against the military on social media and other platforms. Students and teachers stated that they gained valuable awareness regarding modern challenges such as disinformation, fake news, and hybrid warfare.

They emphasized that such awareness sessions are crucial for enabling the youth to counter enemy propaganda and contribute positively to the nation’s defense.
