Good News for Registered Pilgrims Unable to Perform Hajj Due to Compulsions

Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced a new policy bringing relief to registered pilgrims who are unable to perform Hajj due to unavoidable circumstances.
According to Geo News, in cases of death or serious illness, a close family member of the registered pilgrim will be eligible to perform Hajj in their place.
The official document states that any person unable to proceed for Hajj due to valid reasons may either nominate another individual or request a refund of their deposited amount. However, applicants must provide solid justification along with documentary evidence, such as medical reports or a death certificate, to support the claim.
The Ministry further clarified that for refunds or substitution, a stamped affidavit must be submitted along with the original bank receipt and a copy of the national identity card.
This policy aims to ensure that genuine pilgrims facing unavoidable hardships are not deprived of their right to perform Hajj or to facilitate their families accordingly.
