Gwadar MPA Meets GDA Director General to Review Water Supply and Development Projects

Gwadar – Member of Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman met with Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Director General Moin-ur-Rehman Khan at his office today. Chief Engineer GDA Haji Syed Muhammad, Project Director (Water) Mirjan Baloch, and other officials were also present.
Chief Engineer Haji Syed Muhammad briefed the participants on ongoing development projects, particularly the Old Town Rehabilitation Project and other initiatives. Project Director (Water) Mirjan Baloch highlighted the current water situation in Gwadar, future plans, and the implementation of decisions made during the Chief Minister’s meeting held a day earlier.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman welcomed the decision to hand over the city’s entire water supply system to the GDA, calling it a positive step. He emphasized the immediate activation of newly laid pipelines to ensure timely water delivery to residents. He also announced that concessions would be given in house connection fees, pledging his personal support in this regard. He urged citizens to promptly submit applications for house connections so that water supply through the new lines could begin at the earliest.
DG GDA Moin-ur-Rehman Khan assured that the Authority was working round the clock to ensure uninterrupted water supply to Gwadar. He said multiple teams were actively engaged from Shadi Kaur to Gwadar. He added that entrusting GDA with full responsibility for water supply reflects both the institution’s performance and public confidence. He stressed that the success of these projects depends on the cooperation of public representatives and the community.
