Jamaat-e-Islami and National Party Discuss Key Issues Affecting Balochistan

Quetta, Pakistan:A delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan, led by Amir and Provincial Assembly Member Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman and Provincial General Secretary Zaid Akhtar, met with the leadership of the National Party at the residence of National Party’s Central Secretary-General, Mir Kabir Ahmad Muhammad Shahie. The meeting also included prominent figures such as Provincial President Aslam Baloch, Central Senior Vice President Mir Shauz Baloch, Central Vice President Dr. Ismail Baloch, and Central Information Secretary Ali Ahmad Langoo.
The discussions revolved around critical political and social issues in Balochistan. Both parties agreed on the importance of presenting a united stance on several matters, including the issue of missing persons, the interference of undemocratic forces in Balochistan’s politics, the closure of employment opportunities, and the exploitation of the province’s natural resources.
Jamaat-e-Islami leadership proposed engaging in talks with the federal government regarding Balochistan’s problems and invited the National Party to join the discussions. In response, the National Party expressed its willingness to participate and assured the delegation that after consultations within the party, they would inform Jamaat-e-Islami about their stance.
The delegation from Jamaat-e-Islami also included Provincial Deputy Amir Bashir Ahmad Mandai, Provincial Deputy Secretaries Nooruddin and Sabir Panizai. The meeting reflects a growing commitment among Balochistan’s political parties to address the province’s longstanding challenges through dialogue and collaboration.
