Pregnant Woman’s Abduction and Killing in Balochistan Sparks Outrage; Family Accuses BLF

QUETTA:The alleged abduction, torture, and killing of a pregnant woman in Balochistan’s Awaran district has sparked widespread condemnation, with several statements blaming the banned Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) for the incident.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Rubina, was allegedly abducted during the night of **July 20–21** from Awaran district. Her mutilated body was recovered on **July 25** from the Kabri Kor Nala area.

The victim’s father alleged that his daughter was abducted by a man identified as Akbar, son of Ghani, along with members of the banned BLF. He claimed that the armed men held her captive for several days, subjected her to torture, and later killed her before dumping her body.

He called on authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident and ensure that those responsible are brought to justice in accordance with the law.

Analysts have described the reported killing as a grave violation of human rights, saying such acts are intended to spread fear among the people of Balochistan. They added that targeting women is contrary to Baloch cultural traditions and fundamental humanitarian values.
