Alkhidmat Sends 8 Relief Trucks and Volunteer Team from Peshawar to Punjab Flood Victims

PESHAWAR: Alkhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (Central and South) has dispatched eight trucks loaded with relief goods along with its third team of volunteers from Peshawar to flood-affected areas of Punjab, particularly Multan, one of the hardest-hit districts.
The relief consignment includes dry ration-based food and winter packages, kitchen sets, blankets, children’s clothing, shoes, utensils, and other essential supplies. A special ceremony was held to send off the trucks and volunteers, attended by Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Central Ameer Abdul Wasi, Alkhidmat Provincial President Khalid Waqas, General Secretary Shakir Siddiqui, Regional Manager Dr. Shakeel Ahmad, and Peshawar District President Arbab Abdul Haseeb.
Addressing the gathering, Abdul Wasi and Khalid Waqas highlighted the longstanding spirit of solidarity between the people of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They noted that while Punjab has always stood by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in difficult times, it is now Punjab that is facing devastating floods, with nearly 70% of its land submerged.
Alkhidmat KP has already set up a tent village in Multan for displaced families, while its volunteers have been actively engaged in rescue operations for over a week, using 15 boats to evacuate stranded people to safer areas.
The leaders reaffirmed that Alkhidmat Foundation will continue its relief efforts for Punjab flood victims, and today’s dispatch of eight trucks and a fresh batch of volunteers marks another step in this ongoing mission.
