Saim Ayub Creates Unwanted Record with Three Ducks in a Month

Lahore: Pakistani opener Saim Ayub has made an unwanted entry into cricket’s record books by becoming the first batsman in the world to be dismissed for zero three times in a single month, sports reporter Abdul Majid Bhatti has revealed.

According to details, Ayub has recorded three golden ducks in his last five T20I innings, scoring **0, 0, 17, 11, and 0**. After 41 innings, his T20I average stands at just **20.92**, with 18 single-digit dismissals.

In the high-voltage clash against India in Dubai, Saim Ayub opened the innings but was caught off Jasprit Bumrah on the very first delivery. This was his seventh duck overall in T20 internationals, placing him third on Pakistan’s list of most ducks in the format — alongside former captains Babar Azam, Mohammad Hafeez, and Kamran Akmal.

The record for the most ducks by a Pakistani batsman in T20Is is held by Umar Akmal with **10**, followed by Shahid Afridi with **8**.

Ayub’s repeated failures have raised serious concerns about his form, with fans and analysts urging team management to reassess his role at the top of the order.
