PM Shehbaz Condemns Israeli Aggression in Doha, Expresses Solidarity with Qatar

Doha –Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid a one-day official visit to Qatar to express Pakistan’s solidarity with the Qatari leadership and people in the wake of the recent Israeli attack on Doha.

According to the official statement, the Prime Minister held a meeting with the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, during which he strongly condemned the Israeli attack on Doha on September 9, terming it a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and regional integrity.

PM Shehbaz conveyed the deep concern of the Pakistani leadership and people over the aggression against a brotherly nation, asserting that such actions are clear violations of international law.

Reaffirming the historic and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Qatar, the Prime Minister stated that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with Qatar during this challenging time. He assured the Qatari leadership of Pakistan’s full support and solidarity against the unjustified provocation.

He expressed profound sympathy over the loss of precious lives in the attack and prayed for the swift recovery of the injured. Emphasizing the urgent need to halt Israel’s unabated aggression in the Middle East, the Prime Minister called for unity among Muslim nations in the face of Israeli provocations.

PM Shehbaz appreciated Qatar’s constructive and responsible role in mediating peace efforts in Gaza and warned that such aggressive acts by Israel aim to destabilize the region and jeopardize ongoing diplomatic and humanitarian efforts.

He also confirmed that at Qatar’s request, Pakistan had called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to discuss the recent developments in the Middle East. He welcomed Qatar’s decision to host an Extraordinary Arab-Islamic Summit on September 15 and confirmed Pakistan’s agreement to co-sponsor and co-host the summit under the banner of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The Prime Minister also thanked the Emir for Qatar’s strong support during India’s unjustified aggression against Pakistan earlier this year.

In response, the Emir of Qatar expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his solidarity visit. Both leaders agreed to maintain close coordination in promoting regional peace, upholding international law, and supporting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The visit reaffirmed the strong brotherly relations between Pakistan and Qatar and the shared commitment to peace and stability in the region.
