PM Shehbaz Sharif Pays Tribute to Pakistan Navy on Navy Day

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt tribute to the officers, sailors, and personnel of the Pakistan Navy on the occasion of **Navy Day**, praising their professionalism and dedication.
The Prime Minister said the day serves as a reminder of the Navy’s commitment to safeguarding the country’s maritime frontiers and interests. He highlighted the Navy’s historic role in the **1965 war**, especially **Operation Somnath**, where Pakistan Navy destroyed the communication system of the Indian coastal city of Dwarka. He noted that this victory continues to inspire the spirit of defending the homeland.
Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan’s maritime borders remain secure under the vigilant watch of the Navy, which plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of power in the Arabian Sea. He added that the Navy is also contributing significantly to the **blue economy** and the development of ports.
“The Pakistan Navy is both the guardian of our seas and a builder of our bright future,” the Prime Minister remarked, saluting the past and present heroes of the force.
He prayed for the continued success, prosperity, and strength of the Pakistan Navy, the Armed Forces, and the country.
