JI Balochistan Chief MPA Hidayat ur Rehman Vows to Continue ‘Haq Do Tehreek’ for Missing Persons, Border Trade, and CPEC Rights

Quetta:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch**, has vowed to continue the **‘Haq Do Tehreek’ (Give Rights Movement)** to press for the resolution of long-standing issues in Balochistan, including **legal border trade**, the **recovery of missing persons**, and the **fair distribution of CPEC benefits**.
Speaking at various events and gatherings during his visits to **Karachi, Panjgur, and Gwadar**, the JI leader reiterated his commitment to fulfilling the promises made to the people of **Gwadar**. He emphasized the need to curb the **high-handed behavior of security forces**, eliminate the **trawler mafia**, and ensure the **protection of coastal resources and minerals**.
“We will not remain silent until our 8-point national demands are accepted,” said Maulana Hidayat, referring to a prior **long march to Islamabad** and subsequent negotiations with the federal government. A committee has already been formed to discuss these demands, and the government has been given a **six-month deadline** to deliver on its commitments.
He warned, “If no progress is made, we will relaunch the **‘Haq Do Long March’** after six months.”
Maulana Hidayat urged the **Balochistan government** to act as a **legal advocate** for the province’s people in pushing these demands with the federal government. “Instead of engaging in blame games, Balochistan’s political parties should focus on uniting for long marches toward Islamabad, not against each other,” he said.
He criticized corruption and the diversion of state resources, holding both **politicians and security forces** accountable. “Security agencies must focus solely on their constitutional role of maintaining security,” he added, stressing that **oversight over all institutions** — including security forces — is essential.
On the **border trade issue**, he demanded the reopening of all routes from **Chaman to Gwadar**, calling it an economic lifeline for local populations. He urged the formation of **district-level committees** by JI workers to resolve public issues and expand the party’s grassroots presence.
“Our mission is not based on nationalism but on faith. We seek education, employment, peace, and prosperity — not FC check posts,” he said. “Unity and sincerity are the need of the hour. We will resist every oppressor and killer — politically and peacefully.”
Concluding his statement, he reminded the public and the government that Jamaat-e-Islami’s policies are **independent and consultative**, and the party remains committed to **democratic resistance both inside and outside the assembly**.
