Lahore: Pakistan’s national cricket team wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has shared an emotional message for the people affected by the recent devastating floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The province has been ravaged by torrential rains and flash floods, resulting in the loss of over 300 lives, with dozens still missing. The natural disaster has also caused significant damage to infrastructure across the region.
Expressing his sorrow over the grim situation, Mohammad Rizwan took to social media to convey his heartfelt message.
My love and prayers are with the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa,” Rizwan wrote. “The images emerging after the floods are heartbreaking. We want all the affected people to know — you are not alone.”
He further urged the public to come forward and help the victims: “Even a small effort on our part can make a big difference for those affected.”
Meanwhile, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi also expressed his grief and called upon the nation to extend every possible support to the flood victims. “Please help those affected by the floods. We all stand united in this difficult time,” Afridi said.

It is worth noting that more than 300 people have lost their lives due to floods, heavy rainfall, landslides, and lightning strikes across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In Buner, homes have been destroyed, with rubble and massive stones carried by floodwaters scattered everywhere. Relief operations are actively being conducted by PDMA, Pakistan Army, district administration, rescue teams, and local volunteers.
