Mobile Internet Remains Suspended in Balochistan Despite High Court Orders

Quetta:Despite clear directives from the **Balochistan High Court**, **mobile internet services** remain suspended in **Quetta and other districts** of the province. The court had ordered the restoration of internet access in areas **not facing immediate security threats**, yet no action has been taken so far by the authorities.
Mobile internet services across Balochistan have been **non-functional for the past week**, severely disrupting **business, trade, education, and daily communications**. The prolonged outage has sparked frustration among the public, who say they are bearing the brunt of the government’s failure to comply with the court’s decision.
Citing the wide-ranging impact, citizens have called on the provincial and federal governments to **immediately restore internet services**, particularly in areas where there are **no active security concerns**.
The court’s directive was issued in response to multiple petitions challenging the blanket suspension of internet services across the province. Despite the legal order, implementation remains pending, raising concerns over **governance, transparency, and disregard for judicial authority**.
