Concerns Raised Over Secret Release of Recruitment List by DEO Khuzdar; Candidates Demand Action

KHUZDAR:A week ago, the District Education Officer (DEO) Khuzdar released a list of recent recruitments under the SBK (School Education and Balochistan Government) scheme, which has sparked controversy among affected candidates. According to the candidates, the list was secretly issued by the DEO, despite previous grievances raised by them about unfair practices.
The candidates claimed that the DEO has a history of unjust treatment towards them, and they had raised their concerns before both the Deputy Commissioner (DC) and the Commissioner. In response, the Commissioner of Kalat Division issued a ruling in their favor, and the minutes of the meeting (CRC) were forwarded to the Secretary of Education, who supported their claims. Additionally, orders were issued to halt the appointments of candidates who had successfully gained positions through fraudulent means.
The candidates further mentioned that they had filed complaints through the Chief Minister of Balochistan’s complaint portal, which led to follow-up calls from the Chief Minister’s House. They were assured that the DEO had admitted to his mistakes and that their issue had been resolved. However, just a week ago, the DEO secretly issued the recruitment list on a holiday, a move that the candidates believe contradicts the earlier decisions and is an attempt to bypass the orders issued by the Chief Minister, Commissioner Kalat Division, and Secretary of Education.
When the candidates sought clarification from the DEO, they were met with false statements. The DEO claimed that the minutes from the CRC meeting had not yet been received from the Secretary’s office and that action would be taken as soon as they arrived. However, despite this, the DEO went ahead and issued appointments for candidates whose orders had already been canceled following transparent investigations.
The candidates also reached out to media representatives, but according to reports, the DEO has refused to respond to any media inquiries. As a result, the affected candidates are calling on the Chief Minister and other higher authorities to take strict action against the DEO for his refusal to comply with the previous decisions and for continuing to engage in questionable practices.
The candidates are demanding that appropriate legal action be taken to ensure justice is served and that such misconduct is not tolerated in the future.
