Parveen Akbar Blames Poor Parenting for Ayesha Khan’s Tragic Death in Candid Interview

KARACHI (Qudrat Daily) – Veteran Pakistani actress Parveen Akbar recently made headlines after her appearance on model and host Mathira’s talk show *“The 21MM Show,”* where she openly criticized the lack of responsible parenting in today’s society. While speaking about the heartbreaking death of model and actress Ayesha Khan, Parveen Akbar did not hold back in expressing her views, placing the blame on what she described as “poor upbringing.”
You can’t say anything to these cold-hearted, emotionless, and overly liberal children today,” said Parveen. “There are many such examples around us. Ayesha Khan also had children, but still, her death was tragic. In her case, I hold the parents responsible—it is the result of bad parenting.”
She emphasized that parents play a crucial role in shaping their children’s future. “It all depends on how you raise your children. You can make them into good human beings, or you can give them so much freedom that they become irresponsible and indifferent towards their parents,” she added.
Referring to a recent controversial statement made by host Tauseeq Haider—who suggested that people should stop having children due to rising societal issues—Parveen firmly disagreed. “I don’t agree with Tauseeq Haider’s view. Good children are the product of good parenting. Parents must teach their children the difference between right and wrong from an early age.”

While reflecting on modern parenting styles, Parveen pointed out that some children today have become so selfish and insensitive that they don’t care about their parents’ illness or suffering. Citing Ayesha Khan’s painful end as an example, she reiterated the role of upbringing in determining a child’s behavior.
Parveen’s bold statements have sparked a wave of discussions on social media, particularly among parents who may be neglecting their responsibilities under the guise of busy lifestyles or modern values. Her comments have reignited the debate around the importance of moral and emotional upbringing in Pakistani households.
