Mir Ziaullah Langove Pays Tribute to Martyrs of August 8, 2016, Terror Attack on Its 9th Anniversary

Quetta, Pakistan:Former Interior Minister and Central Vice President of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), Mir Ziaullah Langove, paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs of the tragic August 8, 2016 incident on the 9th anniversary of the attack. He described the day as a dark chapter in the history of both the province and the nation, which will always be remembered.
In his condolence statement, Langove reflected on the painful event that took place nine years ago in Quetta, claiming the lives of dozens of innocent individuals. He said that the attack not only caused immense grief but also deeply shook the people of the province. The martyrs of the incident, who included lawyers, journalists, and other innocent citizens, made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the legal profession and democratic values. Langove emphasized that their sacrifices would never go in vain.
The former minister further stated that the terrorists’ goal was to spread fear and weaken state institutions, but the nation, united and resolute, thwarted their plans. He praised the resilience of the people, saying that the tragic loss of lawyers, journalists, and other innocent citizens on that fateful day strengthened the nation’s resolve to combat terrorism.
Langove expressed that the sacrifices of the martyrs would always be honored, as they had given their lives to preserve human dignity and democratic rights. He added that the events of August 8, 2016, had united the nation and reinforced the commitment to fight against terrorism and extremism.
The former minister concluded by praying for the elevation of the martyrs’ ranks in the hereafter and for patience and strength for their families. He urged the people to continue their struggle against terrorism and extremism, so that future generations could live in peace and security.
