JI Balochistan Chief Hidayat ur Rehman Warns of March to GHQ if Demands Are Not Met Within 6 Months

Quetta:Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of the Provincial Assembly, **Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch**, has announced that the party has presented **eight major national demands** including the **recovery of missing persons**, **closure of unnecessary check posts**, and **protection of Balochistan’s coast, minerals, and employment rights**.

Speaking at a **welcome reception at the JI provincial secretariat** upon return from the “**Haq Do Balochistan Long March**,” Maulana Hidayat said that after holding **talks with the federal government**, a **negotiating committee has been formed** to discuss the demands. The government has been given a **six-month deadline** to implement them.

> “If our demands are not met within six months, we will launch another Haq Do Long March, this time heading to **GHQ**,” he warned.

The eight-point demands aim to address long-standing issues in Balochistan, including enforced disappearances, military behavior at checkpoints, and lack of development and employment opportunities. Maulana Hidayat urged the **provincial government to stand with the people** of Balochistan and act as their advocate in Islamabad.

> “We are representing the people of Balochistan. Instead of engaging in blame games, all political parties should compete in launching long marches towards Islamabad to demand rights for Balochistan,” he said.

During the reception, **JI Quetta district Ameer Abdul Naeem Rind** and **Naib Ameer Jameel Ahmad Mishwani** also addressed the gathering. Senior provincial and district leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami were in attendance.

Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman further stated that future marches will also target **corruption commissions and mafia groups**, criticizing that ministries are being distributed instead of delivering public services with integrity. He demanded that **security forces focus on national protection instead of controlling PSDP funds**, and stressed the need for **oversight over both politicians and security institutions**.

> “We want open borders from Chaman to Gwadar, and our provincial government should be our voice on these issues,” he said.

He criticized the lack of basic services in Balochistan despite the province being used for **nuclear, drone, and missile testing**, questioning why no “experiments” were made to provide **education, healthcare, and employment**.

Reiterating his position, he said:

> “We are not nationalists, we are God-fearing people. We will speak openly against every tyrant and oppressor. Our struggle is for justice, peace, and dignity.”

He concluded by emphasizing that **Balochistan needs education, jobs, peace, and development—not more check posts or FC patrols**.
