Baloch or Punjabi, All Lives Matter: Haq Do Tehreek Leader Urges Unity and Justice

GWADAR:Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, leader of the *Haq Do Tehreek Balochistan*, has said that the killing of any citizen, whether Baloch or Punjabi, is equally condemnable. Addressing a press conference, he stated that their long march was not to spread hatred but to send a clear message against those promoting division among the people.

> “Our enemy is the same — we just need to recognize it,” he said. “If there were no Balochistan, there would be no deep-sea port and no CPEC.”

He highlighted the deep-rooted frustration in the region due to decades of neglect and deprivation, noting that while Gwadar Port is being run to boost the national economy, the residents of Gwadar still lack basic necessities like electricity.

The Haq Do Tehreek leader confirmed that their negotiations with the government have led to an agreement on their demands. However, he warned that the implementation will be closely monitored for six months.

> “If our demands are not fulfilled, we will once again take to the streets,” he added.

Maulana Hidayat also emphasized the importance of local ownership over natural resources and called for the immediate recovery of missing persons.

> “We are not demanding anything unlawful — we want our constitutional rights and dignity,” he said.

The *Haq Do Tehreek* continues to call for peaceful resolution of issues facing Balochistan and has urged the government to act decisively to ensure justice, equality, and development in the region.
