“She Used to Throw the Mic” – Mohsin Gillani Breaks Down Revealing Untold Truth About Ayesha Khan’s Life and Loneliness

Islamabad: In a heartfelt podcast appearance, veteran Pakistani actor Mohsin Gillani opened up about the late actress Ayesha Khan, shedding light on the lesser-known aspects of her life, character, and tragic loneliness in old age. Speaking on RTS with 24 Plus Podcast, Gillani not only recalled her intense personality but also emphasized the compassion she received from fellow actress Nazli Nasr.
Recalling their time working together on a drama where he played her son, Gillani said, “Ayesha Khan was strict in temperament and sometimes used to throw the mic on set, which bothered other actors. But when I gently made her realize how it affected younger colleagues, she understood.”
He further praised Nazli Nasr, stating that “Nazli took care of Ayesha selflessly—helping her dress, massaging her feet. Ayesha used to say, ‘You are my witness, when I’m all alone, I’ll go to Nazli.’”
Mohsin Gillani was moved to tears while discussing Ayesha Khan’s final years. “She was a lonely person. Her children had left her and become busy with their lives. One actor even shared a voice note where Ayesha said, ‘My children send me money, but in old age, a mother needs love, time, and presence—not just financial support.’”
He urged people to stop focusing solely on the negative aspects of public figures after their death and remember their humanity. “Ayesha Khan may have been stern, but she had a sensitive heart. Instead of judging her, we should remember the pain and solitude she endured as a mother left behind.”
These revelations not only bring a new perspective on Ayesha Khan’s personality but also expose the painful realities many aging celebrities in the entertainment industry face—fame followed by deep solitude.
