Rawalpindi Honour Killing: Brutal Torture Revealed, Girl’s Neck Bones Fractured

Rawalpindi: Disturbing details have surfaced in the honour killing case of 18-year-old Sidra in Rawalpindi. A post-mortem examination, conducted after her exhumation, revealed signs of severe torture, including fractured neck bones. Police believe she was strangled to death.
According to Express News, Sidra was buried early on July 17 amid heavy rainfall, which left her grave wet and waterlogged. Despite the poor weather conditions, members of a local jirga hastily buried her and deliberately erased all signs of the grave to cover up the crime.
When her body was exhumed for an autopsy, it was found to be severely bloated due to the moisture, and her tongue was protruding — a common indicator of death by asphyxiation.
Sources involved in the autopsy confirmed clear signs of extreme physical abuse. Forensic analysis showed her neck bones were broken, suggesting violent strangulation. Police officials stated that the accused acted with exceptional brutality.
All eight suspects involved in the case have been arrested and will be produced before the court to face justice.
The autopsy was conducted at Holy Family Hospital by Senior Medical Officer Dr. Misbah-ur-Rehman, along with morgue supervisor Arif Saleem and dispenser Muhammad Saeed. Samples were collected from Sidra’s body for forensic testing and will be sent to a lab in Lahore to determine the precise cause of death.
