CM Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti Clears Misconceptions Surrounding Degari Incident, Assures Strict Action Against Culprits

Quetta:Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, clarified that there was no marital relationship between the woman and the man who were killed in the Degari incident. Addressing a press conference in Quetta, the CM stated that the public deserves to know the facts surrounding the case, which has been misrepresented on social media.
Bugti dismissed the widespread claims that the deceased were a newlywed couple, explaining that the woman was a mother of five children and the man had four or five children as well. He emphasized that there was no marital connection between the two individuals.
The CM also shared that action was taken before the video of the incident went viral. He directed the Inspector General (IG) of Police to arrest the suspects, and as of now, 11 individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Further raids are being conducted to apprehend additional suspects, and the Chief Minister assured that all those involved will be arrested and presented in court.
Bugti further stressed that the state has always stood with the oppressed, and this case is no different. He also mentioned that the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) involved in the case has been suspended for failing to report the incident to the authorities, as it was his responsibility. “I am taking this case as a test case,” the CM concluded, promising to bring justice to the victims.
