Lack of Sports Facilities in Balochistan Hindering Youth Development, Says JI MPA

**Quetta:** Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and MPA, has highlighted the severe shortage of sports facilities and playing fields in Balochistan, describing the existing grounds as neglected and unfit for use. He expressed concern that youth and athletes are being deprived of opportunities to engage in healthy activities, while illicit trade continues unchecked and legal traders face restrictions due to closed borders.

Speaking at the final of the Sindh-Balochistan Knockout Football Tournament in Gwadar, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch emphasized that sports play a critical role in keeping young people away from negative influences and fostering a healthy, skilled, and disciplined society. He called for more resources and opportunities for talented youth in Balochistan to compete at provincial and national levels.

The final match of the tournament was played between Keach Football Club, Turbat and Gwadar Port Team, with Gwadar Port emerging victorious 2-0. Awards and shields were distributed to outstanding players and teams by Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, Chairman Municipal Committee Gwadar Maajid Johar, and other dignitaries.

The MPA pledged continued support for sports initiatives and congratulated the organizers, players, and spectators for the successful completion of the tournament, stressing that such events strengthen brotherhood, unity, and national cohesion.
