Former Caretaker Information Minister Criticizes Protesters for Ignoring Quetta Bus Attack Martyrs

Lahore: Former Caretaker Minister for Information, Jan Achakzai, has sharply criticized the protesters of the Balochistan Solidarity Committee, currently holding a sit-in outside the Islamabad Press Club, for their failure to condemn the tragic attack on a bus traveling from Quetta to Karachi.
In a message shared on X (formerly Twitter), Achakzai expressed his dismay, stating, “Today, the protesters outside the Islamabad Press Club are raising their voices for Maah Rang Baloch, but no one has said a word about the innocent Pakistanis martyred in the recent attack on a bus in Quetta’s Kalat district. Why? Were they not human beings? Are the supporters of Maah Rang Baloch and the Baloch Youth Council (BYC) only vocal about the victims whose narrative is anti-state? The same Maah Rang, whose city is just 30 minutes away from the site of this terrorist attack, did not even issue a tweet, perhaps because the attackers were ideologically aligned with them. This double standard and silence exist because these groups do not receive awards, visas, or funding from foreign countries. We ask: are human rights only for those who defame the state? And was the blood of these martyrs so cheap that no one in the sit-in at Islamabad Press Club even mentioned them?”
It is important to note that the attack on the bus in Kalat resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left several others injured. Among the deceased were members of the Sabri Qawwal group, who were traveling to attend an event in Quetta.
