Imran Khan Holds Army Chief Responsible If Harmed in Jail: Aleema Khan

Islamabad – A video clip is going viral on social media in which Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, relayed a message from her brother stating that if anything happens to him in jail, Army Chief General Asim Munir will be held responsible. She said Imran Khan has directed his party to hold the army chief accountable if he suffers any harm while in custody.
Speaking to the media after meeting the imprisoned PTI founder, Aleema Khan shared two important messages from him. According to her, Imran Khan said that both he and his wife, Bushra Bibi, are facing injustice. He alleged that television channels and newspapers have been silenced and that human rights are being violated in jail by the superintendent and a colonel.

Imran Khan blamed Army Chief General Asim Munir for the alleged mistreatment, stating that everything is being done on his orders. He emphasized that those responsible for the treatment of political prisoners should be held accountable.
Regarding a recent PTI meeting in Lahore, Imran Khan reportedly said that deliberate attempts are being made to create divisions within the party. He urged members to put aside personal differences and focus solely on the movement. He also expressed satisfaction that party parliamentarians had gone to Lahore for consultations.
Issuing a stern warning, Imran Khan said that anyone creating rifts within the party would be dealt with personally. “We are in jail while you are busy with internal conflicts. We’ve been facing jail for two years,” he remarked, according to Aleema.
Aleema Khan affirmed that their family stands by every decision of the party and is committed to ensuring full implementation of the founder’s messages. She also called for an end to what she described as inhumane treatment by the jail superintendent.
In a final note, Aleema conveyed that Imran Khan believes it is now up to the parliamentarians to decide whether they want to stay in politics. “What is there to negotiate? Just hear the founder’s cases, and the matter will be resolved,” she quoted him as saying.
