Woman Arrested in Lahore for Animal Abuse After Posting Videos and Photos on Social Media
Lahore: A woman has been arrested in the Defence area of Lahore for killing a rabbit and posting the disturbing images and videos on social media.
The incident came to light after the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Defence, Bano Naqvi, took swift action, conducting a raid at the home of the accused, Khansa Hussain. Police arrested her and seized several birds and animals from her residence, handing them over to the Wildlife Department and relevant authorities.
According to police reports, the accused appears to have mental health issues, and she has been transferred to a mental asylum for further evaluation.
It has also come to light that the woman had been encouraging people on social media to buy animals, while also engaging in cruelty towards them. The authorities have condemned the act and assured the public of strict legal action against such animal abuse cases.
