Over 90 Dilapidated Buildings Declared Dangerous in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi:The Metropolitan Corporation has declared over 90 dilapidated and crumbling buildings in the city as dangerous, urging immediate evacuation. Due to their deteriorating condition, the buildings have been marked as a significant risk, particularly in the wake of heavy rainfall which could potentially lead to major accidents or structural failures.
The Corporation has officially issued evacuation notices to the building owners, warning that these structures could collapse if not repaired or demolished promptly. In the notices, the authorities highlighted that failure to comply with the orders may result in legal actions against the residents.
The warnings come as a precautionary measure to prevent any major disaster and ensure the safety of the residents in these vulnerable structures. The Metropolitan Corporation has emphasized the need for either repairing the buildings or, if necessary, demolishing them to avert any tragic events.
This action highlights the growing concerns over the city’s infrastructure and the pressing need for timely intervention to address such risks.
