Balochistan Government to Launch “People’s Train” Service Between Saryab and Kuchlak

The Government of Balochistan, in collaboration with Pakistan Railways, has announced the launch of a new commuter rail service named the “People’s Train” between Saryab and Kuchlak in Quetta. This initiative aims to provide the residents of Quetta with a comfortable and reliable travel option.
As part of the project, five existing railway stations along the 35-kilometer route will be upgraded, while two new stations will be constructed to enhance passenger accessibility and convenience. Additionally, the railway track between Saryab and Kuchlak will be modernized to allow higher-speed travel and improve operational efficiency.
The provincial government had already earmarked this project in its fiscal year 2025–26 budget, signaling its commitment to improving transportation infrastructure in the region. This development is expected to boost local connectivity, stimulate economic activity, and create job opportunities for the people of Balochistan.
