National Party MPA Says Innocent Younger Brother Killed in Conspiracy; Demands Immediate Arrests
Panjgur: National Party leader and Member of the Provincial Assembly **Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch** has alleged that his innocent younger brother, **Waleed Saleh Baloch**, was murdered in a planned conspiracy and urged authorities to arrest the perpetrators immediately.
In a statement issued today, Mir Rehmat Saleh said Waleed had no involvement in politics or any personal disputes and that there was no reason for anyone to target him. “They killed my innocent younger brother,” he said. “He had no role in politics nor any pending dispute with anyone — yet he was martyred in a conspiracy. What greater brutality can there be?”
Mir Rehmat recalled that wedding celebrations for the martyr had already begun at the family home, and the marriage was due to take place ten days after the killing. He described his family as peaceful and committed to democratic struggle, saying they have never wished harm on anyone.
Describing the attack, he said four men on two motorcycles carried out a planned assault near the family home. Two men on one motorcycle opened fire first, followed by the two men on the other motorcycle. After confirming Waleed’s death, the attackers reportedly fled the scene. The lawmaker said the large turnout—thousands of protesters—at the funeral has left the killers panicked and fearful of coming forward.
Mir Rehmat expressed concern over alleged negligence by security agencies and said no investigational facts have been shared with the family so far. He appealed to the **Governor, Chief Minister and Chief Justice** to ensure the “cruel killers” are immediately arrested and the truth is revealed.
“We will not let this martyrdom be buried in oblivion,” he warned, adding that the family would pursue the matter to the last limit to expose the murderers. He said the family will decide on further course of action after the customary recitation of Fatiha for the deceased.
