Decision to Take Action Against Old Buses Operating in Quetta

Quetta: The Transport Department of Balochistan has decided to take action against the old buses operating in the city.
The decision was made during a meeting chaired by Secretary of Transport, Hayat Kakhar.
The Secretary of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) and the SSP Traffic have been directed to take action under the Motor Vehicle Ordinance against buses of outdated models.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation of the Balochistan High Court’s ruling regarding the phasing out of old local buses and the introduction of new model buses.
Concerns were raised in the meeting about the failure of local transporters to replace old buses and introduce new ones.
It is important to note that the directive was given to replace old model buses with new ones by June 30.
