Additionally, he announced plans to install a 5 MGD seawater desalination plant and a TP4 sewage treatment plant in Karachi, both of which will be executed with international cooperation. In the agricultural sector, a Rs 33 billion mechanization package, along with drip irrigation systems and horticulture clusters, will benefit 200,000 farmers.
Memon also mentioned the ongoing Sindh Peoples Housing Scheme, which is constructing 2.1 million homes for flood victims, empowering women by granting them ownership rights. Furthermore, Rs 21.7 billion has been allocated to provide support and rehabilitation for individuals with various abilities.
A total of 3,642 projects have been outlined, with 3,161 being ongoing and 481 new schemes. In addition, Rs 119.5 billion has been earmarked for special development initiatives across the province.
