Balochistan Border Districts Severely Affected by Iran-Israel Conflict, Warns National Party Leader

Quetta:National Party leader and Deputy Parliamentary Leader in the Balochistan Assembly, **Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch**, has raised serious concerns over the escalating impact of the Iran-Israel conflict on Pakistan’s border districts in Balochistan.
Speaking to the media, Baloch stated that **Panjgur, Turbat, Gwadar, Taftan, and Chagai** have been badly affected, with severe shortages of fuel and other essential commodities. He noted that residents in these areas are facing significant hardship due to the disruption of cross-border trade with Iran — a crucial lifeline for the local population.
> *“The livelihood, food supply, and daily needs of the people in these border districts heavily depend on trade with Iran. The current regional crisis has completely disrupted that connection,”* said Baloch.
He stressed that it is the **government’s responsibility** to immediately ensure the provision of fuel and essential goods in these areas and to announce a **special emergency relief package** to keep life functional.
Mir Rehmat Saleh Baloch warned that if urgent measures are not taken, the lives of **hundreds of thousands of people** could be at serious risk. He called on both **federal and provincial governments** to take immediate notice of the worsening humanitarian situation and ensure **swift action on compassionate grounds**.
