Forecast of Rain and Thunderstorm in Karachi After Intense Heat

Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has predicted rain for Karachi, with thunderstorms and gusty winds expected to follow the intense heat. The department’s early warning forecast indicates that a western disturbance is affecting the upper regions of the country, while moist winds are entering the eastern areas of Sindh.
According to the forecast, Karachi is likely to experience rain on Monday and Tuesday, with thunder and lightning in some areas, including suburban regions. On Tuesday, thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds are expected in the outskirts of Karachi.
In interior Sindh, districts including Ghotki, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Qamber Shahdadkot, Shikarpur, Khairpur, Dadu, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Tharparkar, and Umerkot could witness light to moderate rain with thunder.
Moreover, between June 16 and 17, areas like Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, T.M. Khan, T.A. Yaar, Hyderabad, Matiari, Thatta, Sujawal, and Badin are expected to experience rain.
The weather in Karachi Division over the next three days is expected to remain hot and humid, with partial cloud cover. The maximum temperature may range between 36°C and 38°C, and humidity levels could rise to 80% in the morning and 55% in the evening.
