WhatsApp to Introduce New ‘Logout’ Feature for Users Taking a Break

Islamabad – WhatsApp is set to roll out an exciting new feature aimed at giving users more control over their usage habits. According to reports, the popular messaging app is testing a ‘Logout’ option in the latest Android beta version under the account settings.
This new feature will allow users to temporarily step away from WhatsApp without permanently deleting the app or losing their data. Upon clicking the logout option, users will be presented with two choices:
Complete Logout – This option will log the user out and erase all app data and preferences, similar to uninstalling the app. However, it will not remove users from their groups.
Logout with Data Retention – This will allow users to log out while retaining all chats, group conversations, and preferences. They can restore everything simply by signing back in using their phone number.
Tech analysts suggest that this feature is particularly useful for users looking to take a temporary break from WhatsApp without disrupting their chat history or group involvement.
The feature is currently in beta testing and is expected to roll out to all users in the near future.
