Islamabad High Court Directs Review Committee to Decide on Mahrang Baloch’s ECL Removal Request Within 30 Days

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court, headed by Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar, heard the petition seeking the removal of Mahrang Baloch’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
Advocate Attaullah Kundi appeared in court on behalf of the petitioner. Earlier, Advocate Pirdey Iman Mazari had been representing Mahrang Baloch in the case.
Attaullah Kundi informed the court that the petitioner was barred from traveling to the United States on October 7, with his name initially added to the PCL and later to the ECL. He requested that the review committee be directed to take a decision on the request to remove Mahrang Baloch’s name from the travel-restricted list.
Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar remarked that the review committee should be instructed to decide on the petition within 30 days.
The court also ordered the concerned law enforcement authorities to ensure compliance with the judicial directives.
