BISP Expands Support in Balochistan by Raising PMT Score Threshold to 60

Quetta : The Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has announced a major step to expand its reach in Balochistan, increasing the Proxy Means Test (PMT) score threshold from 32 to 60 under the Benazir Nashonuma and Education Stipend programs.
This key policy shift aims to include a larger number of deserving families in the province, enabling them to benefit from essential services in education and healthcare, while also offering opportunities for vocational training to help them become self-reliant.
According to BISP officials, the move reflects the government’s commitment to improving access to basic services for underprivileged communities in Balochistan, with the ultimate goal of empowering them economically and socially.
The initiative is expected to significantly enhance the impact of BISP in one of Pakistan’s most underserved regions.
