“Establishment Under No Pressure”; Faisal Chaudhry Exposes PTI’s Internal Weaknesses

Islamabad: In a candid revelation, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and legal counsel for Imran Khan, Faisal Chaudhry, has admitted that internal weaknesses within the party are significantly affecting its political standing and the prospects of its incarcerated founder.
Speaking on a private TV program, Faisal Chaudhry stated that neither the government nor the establishment feels compelled to engage in dialogue with Imran Khan under current circumstances. “If talks ever do take place, they will only be on their own terms,” he emphasized.
Chaudhry, who recently met Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, noted that following Pakistan Army’s recent strategic success against India, the national atmosphere has stabilized, and the situation is no longer what it was.
He criticized the current PTI leadership for lacking a serious and effective political strategy, warning that mere emotional statements won’t secure Khan’s release. “If the current approach continues, Imran Khan’s imprisonment could be prolonged,” he cautioned.
Revealing insights from his recent interaction with Khan, Chaudhry mentioned that the former Prime Minister used phrases like “playing on both sides of the wicket,” possibly alluding to the contradictory behavior of the current PTI leadership.
Regarding the cases related to the May 9 incidents, he warned that swift verdicts are expected in the coming weeks, possibly leading to disqualifications and convictions within 40 days, which could drastically reshape Pakistan’s political landscape.
Chaudhry stressed that if PTI leadership fails to adopt a more strategic and politically mature approach soon, it won’t just jeopardize Imran Khan’s release but could also severely damage the party’s future as a political force.
