Bilateral Tensions: PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Leads Diplomatic Delegation to Counter Indian Aggression

Islamabad:In the wake of escalating Pakistan-India tensions, Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has led a high-level diplomatic delegation on a global tour to represent Pakistan’s stance. Speaking at a briefing session held in Islamabad, Bilawal emphasized that Pakistan would not allow India to use water as a weapon. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, stability, and development, stressing that the country was fully aware of its responsibilities.

Under Bilawal’s leadership, a diplomatic committee meeting was convened, where members were briefed by the Foreign Office on the current regional situation. Following the meeting, Bilawal Bhutto spoke to the media, stating that under the Prime Minister’s directive, the diplomatic committee would visit several countries to vigorously present Pakistan’s position on the international stage. He also addressed Pakistan’s role in combating terrorism, emphasizing that the country had suffered the most from it and would continue its efforts to rid the region of terrorism.

Regarding the issue of water, Bilawal made it clear that Pakistan would not permit India to use water as a tool of warfare. “Pakistan stands for peace and truth, and our message is one of peace, stability, and progress. We are fully aware of our responsibilities,” he stated.

Addressing the aftermath of the Pulwama incident, Bilawal noted that while India had resorted to blame and rhetoric, Pakistan had offered a transparent international investigation. He also accused India of using lies, hatred, and division as part of its agenda.

Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, **Musaad Malik**, also spoke during the briefing. He said that Pakistan would present the facts to the international community and continue to respond decisively to Indian aggression. He further stated that Pakistan’s military had successfully countered Indian provocations, including shooting down the Rafale jets, a point of pride for India. “If India continues its provocations, it will face an even stronger response from us,” Malik warned.

Federal Minister **Khurram Dastgir** went further, labeling India as a “bullying” state that had failed to present any evidence regarding the Pulwama attack and had instead leveled baseless allegations against Pakistan. He reiterated that Pakistan was ready for peace talks with India but under the condition of equality. Dastgir also condemned the rise of Hindutva ideology and India’s war-driven nationalism as significant threats to regional stability. He stressed that durable peace in the region was directly linked to the resolution of the Kashmir issue, and that Kashmiris must be granted their right to self-determination in line with United Nations resolutions.

The delegation, which also includes prominent figures such as **Hina Rabbani Khar**, **Sherry Rehman**, **Feisal Sabzwari**, **Jaleel Abbas Jilani**, and **Tehmina Janjua**, aims to communicate Pakistan’s viewpoint to the international community and to counter Indian propaganda. The delegation’s focus is to expose India’s aggressive posturing while highlighting Pakistan’s dedication to peace and diplomatic dialogue.

The delegation’s global outreach comes as the region faces heightened tensions, with both countries engaged in diplomatic and military maneuvering. The outcome of this diplomatic push could significantly impact future international support and regional stability.
