DG ISPR General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry’s Exclusive Interview: Pakistan’s Firm Stance on Regional Issues, India Tensions, and Pak-China Relations

Islamabad:In a special interview with a Chinese media group, Director General of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, presented Pakistan’s firm stance on the recent tensions with India, the ongoing conflict in Kashmir, Pak-China relations, and the broader regional situation.
During the interview, Lt. Gen. Chaudhry emphasized that Pakistan’s greatest strength lies in its people and their unwavering determination. “After Allah, we rely the most on ourselves. When determination is strong, the international community also plays its role,” he said.
He highlighted the numerous global challenges the world is currently facing, including climate change, population growth, and economic issues. In such times, he stressed that it is unacceptable for any country to attack another based on baseless and false narratives.
General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry was clear in stating that no country should attempt to establish dominance over its neighbors. He added, “The Pakistani nation has never bowed down in the past, and we will not bow down now. For us, martyrdom is more precious than life. Whether one wears a blue, white, or khaki uniform, martyrdom is an honor for us.”
He further underscored the strategic importance of Pakistan-China relations, calling it the cornerstone of regional peace and stability. “Pakistan and China are two responsible states whose primary priority is the welfare of their people,” he said. He praised the cooperation between Pakistan and China in the fight against terrorism, noting that the objective of terrorism is to hinder development, but both countries are defeating it and moving forward on the path of progress.
Lt. Gen. Chaudhry also praised China’s remarkable development, stating, “The world should learn from China’s rapid development despite a large population in a short time.” He noted that the people of Pakistan also seek peace, stability, and development, with peace being their foremost priority.
Highlighting the current sentiment in Pakistan, he said, “Today, the people of Pakistan are celebrating the joy of peace, not victory. We thank Allah for this. We are a peace-loving nation, and you will see, Insha’Allah, Pakistan will rapidly progress.”
