Indian YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra Among 6 Arrested for Spying for Pakistan

Haryana, India:Six individuals, including Indian YouTuber and travel vlogger Jyoti Malhotra, have been arrested by Indian authorities on charges of espionage for Pakistan. Jyoti Malhotra, who had visited Pakistan in 2023, is reportedly among the individuals accused of providing sensitive information to Pakistani agents and operatives.

According to Indian media reports, the group of six individuals from Haryana and Punjab has been accused of sharing confidential details with Pakistani intelligence agencies and their informants. The investigation has now been handed over to the Economic Offences Wing after Jyoti Malhotra’s written response.

It is claimed that two years ago, Jyoti visited Pakistan where she reportedly made contact with a person named Danish, who was serving at the Pakistani High Commission in New Delhi. This individual allegedly introduced Jyoti to various Pakistani nationals. Subsequently, she traveled to Indonesia.

Additionally, the reports allege that Jyoti used her social media platforms to present a positive image of Pakistan, which raised suspicions regarding her activities.

This development follows a similar case in Indian Punjab, where two individuals were arrested on espionage charges for allegedly leaking information to Pakistani officials. One of these suspects, also reportedly a woman, was accused of sharing details about the movements of the Indian military.

The arrests are part of a broader investigation into espionage activities allegedly involving individuals with connections to Pakistan.
