TikToker Dania Shah’s Husband Hakim Shehzad Arrested for Obscene Dance; Pledges to Donate ‘Salami’ to Flood Victims
LAHORE: Hakim Shehzad, husband of TikToker Dania Shah, was arrested for organizing an obscene dance performance during his wedding and for using inappropriate language in leaked audio messages.
A video of Shehzad has gone viral on social media in which he appeared visibly remorseful, wearing a cap and expressing regret over his actions. In his statement, he admitted to hosting the controversial event during the floods, inviting over 20,000 guests at a time when many people had lost their homes and livelihoods to the natural disaster.
“I arranged a dance party when people were suffering from a calamity, which was wrong. Some of my indecent audio messages also went viral, and I am ashamed of them,” he said. Shehzad added that officials from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) reprimanded him for hurting public sentiments by organizing such an event amid a national tragedy.
Expressing remorse, Shehzad pledged to donate the wedding ‘Salami’ money to flood-affected families and urged people to maintain dignity and decency in their speech and behavior.
Dania Shah, who married Shehzad after the sudden death of her first husband, TV personality Dr. Aamir Liaquat, has remained in the public spotlight due to her personal life controversies.
