Peace Restored After 31 Years of Tribal Conflict in Bajaur

Bajaur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:A long-standing tribal feud between two groups of the Mamund Umar Khel tribe in Bajaur district has finally come to an end after 31 years of violence and bloodshed.
The dispute, between the **Khadi Khel** and **Almaze** clans, originated over a land conflict which escalated into armed clashes in the early 1990s. Over the decades, the conflict claimed the lives of **71 people** and left **hundreds injured**.
Efforts by the local administration have led to a successful reconciliation. A formal peace ceremony was held, attended by the **Deputy Commissioner**, members of the **provincial assembly**, senior civil officials, and representatives from both sides.
During the ceremony, members of the rival clans embraced each other and exchanged congratulations, symbolizing the end of hostilities. Celebrations were held across the area to mark the historic resolution of the feud.
Officials hailed the peace agreement as a significant step toward stability and social harmony in the region.
