Governor Balochistan Lauds Women Lawyers for Shaping Future and Promoting Gender Equality

Quetta:Governor of Balochistan, Jaafar Khan Mandokhail, emphasized the pivotal role that women lawyers play not only in advocating for their clients but also in shaping the future of women, who constitute half of the population. Speaking to a delegation of female lawyers led by Vice President of Quetta Bar Association, Amira Munir, the Governor underscored the importance of recognizing and supporting the hidden potential of women to help them excel in their careers.

He remarked, “It is crucial that we acknowledge the untapped abilities of our women and provide them with the support and guidance they need to further advance in their careers.” He highlighted that the implementation of a 5% quota for women in relevant institutions would significantly increase female participation and representation in various sectors.

The Governor further assured that the appointment of a **Female Ombudsman** for Balochistan will be made on merit in the near future. “I envision a future where women hold significant positions such as session judges, civil judges, prosecutor generals, and in other key roles within bar associations,” he added.

The Governor also expressed his unwavering support for women’s participation in all sectors of life, stating that there is an urgent need for concrete measures to address the challenges faced by women lawyers. He stressed the importance of ensuring that their voices are heard so that women can achieve greater success and contribute meaningfully to the development of society.

“It is encouraging to see that women in Balochistan have raised their flags of success in every field of life,” he continued. “These women work tirelessly to provide access to justice for those who need it the most. Your dedication and perseverance in the field of law are truly an inspiration. Your commitment will help bridge the gap between the legal system and the public.”

Governor Mandokhail’s words are a strong call to action to ensure that women lawyers not only overcome the challenges they face but also pave the way for future generations to thrive in the legal profession and beyond.
