Light Rain Brings Pleasant Weather to Karachi; Rain Forecast Reduced Due to Dry Winds

Karachi:Karachi experienced light rain early Monday morning around Fajr, accompanied by strong winds and cloudy skies, resulting in a noticeable improvement in weather conditions.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, while rain was initially forecasted for Monday evening, the arrival of dry northeastern winds has significantly reduced the chances of further rainfall in the city. Despite this, intermittent rain showers are still expected to continue in Karachi until Tuesday.
In contrast, Larkana has seen record-breaking rainfall this May. The city recorded 38 mm of rain in a single day — the highest for May since 1991. Previously, the highest monthly rainfall recorded in May 1991 was 24 mm, with 15 mm falling in a single day on May 21 of that year.
