“We Will Respond to India in the Same Language It Speaks”: PM Shehbaz Sharif on Kashmir Solidarity Day

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has vowed that Pakistan will respond to India in the same manner India chooses to act, emphasizing solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Addressing a special session of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Kashmir Solidarity Day, PM Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan stands united with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters. He highlighted that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had called Kashmir the “jugular vein of Pakistan,” and stressed that Kashmiris continue to raise their voices daily, showing the world the truth.

“The sacrifices of Kashmiris will not go in vain,” the Prime Minister said, paying tribute to the freedom movement’s martyrs. He noted that history shows Kashmiris are ready to sacrifice their children but never their freedom.

PM Shehbaz Sharif recalled that under the leadership of Pakistan’s Field Marshal, India was dealt a defeat so significant that generations will not forget it. He said, “We will respond to India in the same language it speaks.” He added that Pakistan’s victory in the “Battle of Truth” is also a victory for Kashmiris and has reinvigorated the Kashmir cause globally.

He condemned India’s ongoing acts of terrorism, stating that any aggression by India will be met with an unforgotten response. He further said that India’s proxies are intensifying terrorism following their humiliating defeat on the diplomatic front, but India has no alternative except to grant Kashmiris their right to self-determination.

The Prime Minister stressed that peace in the region is only possible through unity, equality, and justice, and that India’s aggressive and expansionist ambitions must be curtailed. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled stance on Palestine and Kashmir, noting that Pakistan has taken concrete steps to restore peace in Gaza.

PM Shehbaz Sharif concluded by emphasizing that Pakistan stands firmly with Kashmiris, and achieving regional peace requires cooperation, justice, and unwavering solidarity.
